im'e no leadr but i got some tips for our rogues when in the raid.
*) If it's a humanoid instance, rogues can sap. If the rogue has points in improved sap, this can be done without pulling the other mobs in the pack. If not then you'd better have a good tank to pull them off you.
*) Most groups prefer either a warrior (for initial aggro) or a hunter (for safety) to pull.
*) If you're not sapping, be in stealth and up front with the tank. Don't go off exploring and aggro extra mobs unless you're asked to scout ahead. If you scout and pull aggro, either vanish a good distance from the group or die and wait for a res.
*) After the pull, use ambush if your tank is good and has had chance to build aggro. Be ready to feint immediately after. If the tank is having aggro problems, garrotte instead.
*) The jury tends to be out on cheap shot as an opener. Warriors build rage by being hit, and if you stun a mob that's one less hitting him. On the other hand, it gives him the duration of the stun to build aggro on the other mobs and then he can get back to the first target. When I'm tanking, I don't mind cheap shot being used on pulls of 3 or more. Any less gives me rage-building problems.
*) Often a rogue will be the main assist, designating the current target for the group's damage. This is because a MA needs to stay locked on one target until it's dead (unlike the MT who will be switching a lot). Rogues do this anyway in order to build combo points, so they're well suited to it.
*) If you're not the MA, and a mob breaks for a priest or other healer then you may be able to grab it and tank it for a while. Best to check and see if your group wants you to do this before you start the run. If they do, grab the mob's attention and then gouge it. If it has DOTs on it, use a one or two point kidney shot to stun it. Once the mob is focussed on you, hit evasion.
its mostely things sade by other rogues and me, but anny way, i stick to these rules when im'e in a raid.
